  1. Not to freak anyone out but caffeine alters your brain too, but the change to your brain on caffeine is pretty significant. If you don't want to alter your brain, don't drink coffee. I happen to think the study is wacky, and can make my own choice as to what I want to consume.

  2. Too small of a study group and too many people are trying to discredit marijuana now that it's slowly becoming legal.  It's known that a lot of things will alter the brain and not just marijuana but everyone explodes about how bad it is when they see things like this.  Alcohol/tobacco is still worse in comparison.  However, it's good that we're starting to see things like this.

  3. So different from study's from England and Canada.
I can't believe you buddy. Study is too small and to me any study in the u.s. on Marijuana, is untrustworthy.
    Only my opinion.

  4. OK let me get this straight. ONE study based of 40 people that smoke 11 joints a week 4 days a week? Can that really be generalized to a whole population?
A study funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse, the Office of National Drug Control Policy, Counterdrug Technology Assessment Center, and the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke? You don't thing they might… I don't know… be biased towards finding negatives?
Shouldn't it have included something about the effects other than showing there is some kind of change? I would think there should be some information on what the changes in the brain do, not just that they exist.
"The study says that the parts of the brain altered have been associated with schizophrenia, Parkinson’s disease, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and Tourette’s syndrome."
It doesn't say "causes schizophrenia, Parkinson’s disease, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and Tourette’s syndrome." Correlations does'nt mean causation. I would barely call this link casual.

  5. just about everything alters your brain but at least mj keeps you mellowed out for the most part compared to some other substances that just happen to be legal or prescribed. even watching tv is probably worse for you than using marijuana.

  6. Alter your brain in what way? So there's a change, but how is that necessarily a bad thing? Figure out what the effect of the changes actually are and then we'll be talking.

  7. Why don't they come up with a study to find out why the world is so f**ked and the government and monetary system are so corrupt and stop picking on weed, because marijuana is nature at perfection.
