1. Been using a stainless steel Musa mocha pot for over 35 years and you've pretty much nailed how to do it except for one thing. YES YOU SHOULD TAMP the grinds into the basket. Not super hard but moderately so. Try it both ways in a blind taste-test and you'll see.

  2. Hi guys. Thanks a lot to you and of cause James. It really helps me to prepare a nice Espresso without bitterness. Also when I prepare it for a Cappuccino. It was vers nice.. thanks a lot guys.. 😁🙏 cheers from Berlin

  3. Perhaps, espresso is one of the world’s most known coffees. But what makes it different from a regular coffee? For one, it’s a strong and healthy coffee variant that suits those with a discerning taste.

It doesn’t have any dairies added, a standout quality of espresso that’s not in other regular coffees.

Espresso also has a different brewing method. It is made by forcing the steam to come through the finely ground beans. It can also be made from any coffee bean, too just like drip coffee.

  4. I'm a little suspicious that they didn't want to taste the coffee black. Can the moka pot actually make coffee retains some of the subtlety of the bean, and that is not just bitter?

  5. Now I know! I'd made all of the mistakes; cold water, brewing for too long, pressing the coffee down and not cooling the base after brewing and also not keeping it sparkling clean. Thanks – great video.

  6. Don't. Get a french press instead. Those mokka pots are hard to clean and you will get a bitter coffee taste very fast. French presses are easy to clean from coffee fats and will always give you the best test, if properly used. Although mokka presses are great for camping.

    My two cents on this.

  7. Man, I just bought one of these Bialetti Moka pots and mine feels cheeeap… Not sure if it is the model Nuova or is it because I bought it in Brazil and the product they send here is inferior, but the funnel is very light, made in a very thin and fragile aluminum (that seems could be easily smashed or crumpled) and the straw below is soldered on the piece instead of the one-body funnel you show in the video. Also, the lid is from a lighter different material from the body. I am quite frustrated by this…
