Hi! I do intermittent fasting and eat only once a day, which is in the evening. Is it okay to take NAC on an empty stomach and not eat anything thereafter for hours together? Also, is it necessary to supplement it with vitamin C, or is it good by itself? Kindly respond. Thanks!
No offense but I find it hard to take supplementation advise from a man who weighs maybe 112lbs and looks like he hasn't eaten or seen the sun in a long while
I was just recently (actually last week) on continuous NAC IV bags in hospital for over a week following an accidental paracetamol overdose. Aside from the primary function of protecting my liver from the potential damage (which worked wonderfully!) I also found it made SUCH an improvement in my mental clarity, my overall chronic pain, and stabilising my mood in general (I'm also bipolar and have fibromyalgia!). I had dizziness and nausea the first couple of days, but those side effects quickly subsided and it was nothing that an anti-nausea tablet couldn't fix.
As alongside diet changes, I've also ordered NAC oral tablets to try out and see if I can experience some of the same benefits, although aware of the much lower absorption rate. Honestly such a powerful little building block for creating those antioxidants! Thanks for such an informative video!
